Sweet Peppers
Pepper Aji Delight
A Capsicum baccatum witout any heat! A wonderful innovation. You can now enjoy the wonderful fruity taste of this species without the burn. In other words, the Aji Delight is to the C. baccatum what the sweet pepper is to the C. annuum. Aptly named, because it is absolutely delicious, with fruity overtones and even a hint of cinnamon on some very well ripe pods. It is also very crunchy. Moreover, it is already sweet at the green stage, as opposed to the green bell pepper. Can also be dehydrated to make a very sweet paprika (pic on the right) . Peppers are deep red at maturity, 9 to 12 cm long. Walls are 4 mm tick, 3 lobes. Good yields, often more than 50 peppers or 2 kilos per plant. Relatively early for a C. baccatum, at 85 days. Large, sprawling plants with several lateral branches. Starts slow but finishes strong in September. 70 days (green), 85 days (red).
